El-Kanemi Eliminated From Caf Cup, Remo Focused On Consolidating In Morocco.

Benin Republic’s Dadje dealt a blow to Nigeria’s El-Kanemi Warriors as they were knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup. Dadje secured a 2-1 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors, advancing 3-2 on aggregate after the teams drew 1-1 in their previous encounter in Ikenne. It was a disappointing result for El-Kanemi Warriors, who were aiming to build on their recent success as Federation Cup winners.

This defeat comes on the back of Benin Republic’s historic victory over the Nigerian Super Eagles in a 2026 World Cup qualifier just two months ago. The El-Kanemi Warriors and Dadje will meet again on September 7th in Uyo for the opening match of the 2025 AFCON qualifying tournament.

In a separate CAF Champions League fixture, Remo Stars hopes to progress to the second preliminary round as they face AS Far of Morocco in the second leg. With a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, a draw will be enough for Remo Stars to secure their place in the next round.
