The Graduation and Prize-Giving Day of Aduke Royal Schools, a private school in Lagos, took place recently, leaving a lasting impression on the teachers and students. The event celebrated the outgoing students’ final moments in the school.
During the ceremony, Mr. Hammed Usman, the Proprietor of the school, reiterated the institution’s commitment to providing high-quality education. He expressed his desire for the school to lead and set the standards in delivering education that caters to the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of the students.
Mr. Usman praised the graduating students for their overall performance and thanked the dedicated staff and supportive parents for contributing to the growth and development of the school.
The Proprietor expressed optimism that Aduke Royal Schools would continue to set the pace in providing an enabling learning environment. The school is equipped with facilities and instructional materials that make learning easy and appealing to the pupils. These facilities include consistent power supply, provision of computer education, and digital skill acquisition, which are mandatory components of the curriculum.
Aside from academic development, the school also emphasizes the nurturing of students within the context and principles of Islam. It instills virtues of discipline, forthrightness, sincerity of purpose, and seeks to produce well-rounded global citizens through its commitment to quality education delivery.
The Head of School, Hajia Tanimola Atoyebi, expressed delight at the significant turnout of parents and guests, commending them for their support. She attributed the school’s achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, sports, and educational programs over the past year to this support.
The Chairman of the ceremony, Alhaji Lamina Adebayo Isiaka, who also serves as the schools PTA Chairman, applauded the teachers and staff for their dedication in raising students with strong moral values.
He further praised the school management for the quality of its teaching staff and their efforts in preparing globally competitive learners who can serve as change agents.
The students mesmerized the audience with cultural displays representing diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria, Islamic/Quran recitations, choreography, debates, and quizzes.
Prof Owolabi’s Education Corner with New Telegraph Newspaper, present at the event, congratulated the management and students and looked forward to a successful school year.

The melodic and heartfelt Quran recitation received immense applause and appreciation from parents and guests. They generously showered the talented students with cash and other gifts.
The recitation demonstrated the school’s and parents’ deep love for Islam, the Quran, and its teachings, which have positively influenced the students, commented Prof Owolabi.
Various corporate organizations and parents supported the 2024 graduation ceremony by sponsoring events and donating gifts and prizes to students who excelled academically and in extracurricular activities throughout the year.
Additionally, a non-governmental organization contributed cash prizes, presented by Mrs. Hammed, to participating students in the graduation debate, emphasizing their commitment to corporate social responsibility and education advancement.
