The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, a prominent philanthropic organization in Africa, has recently announced Isiaka Salami as the recipient of the 2024 AIG Scholar award.
Issued through a press release, this prestigious scholarship enables exceptional African public servants to pursue a Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Oxford.
Since 2017, the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has awarded scholarships worth approximately 2,000,000 to 32 Africans who have shown a strong passion for transforming the public sector.
This annual scholarship offers exceptional African public servants an invaluable opportunity to obtain a Master of Public Policy degree from the prestigious Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. Through this program, scholars acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to lead and revolutionize public service.
Upon completion of their studies, the scholars are expected to return to their respective public sector organizations and contribute as catalysts for positive change, as stated in the press release.
Isiaka Salami, currently serving as the Assistant Director at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Nigeria, has been granted the 2024 AIG Scholar award. His selection was the result of a rigorous and highly competitive process that evaluated candidates based on their academic excellence, leadership potential, and dedication to the public sector in Africa.
Mr. Isiaka will now join the esteemed circle of public sector leaders who have benefited from this transformative opportunity, as emphasized in the press release.
