The governor of Osun state, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, has called on Civil Society Organisations and other stakeholders participating in the nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest to prioritize the peace and security of the state. Adeleke emphasized that maintaining peace and harmony during the demonstration is crucial.
Represented by the Deputy Governor of Osun state, Prince Kola Adewusi, Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that Osun becomes a benchmark for other states in Nigeria. He urged the protesters to strictly adhere to the law and avoid any form of violence before, during, and after the upcoming nationwide protests. Adeleke made it clear that his administration will not tolerate any acts of violence in Osun state during the protests.
In his words, “In Osun, we are known for being peaceful and law-abiding. Let’s maintain our pride as a state that excels in all things good and developmental.”
