Junior Officer Assists In Gaining Access To Elderly Woman’S Residence By Utilizing Doggy Door

In a heartwarming incident that took place on July 17, an elderly woman found herself locked out of her house in the city of Groesbeck, Texas. However, thanks to the quick thinking of 9-year-old Junior Officer Lincoln Dobson and his willingness to lend a helping hand, the situation was swiftly resolved.

When the police chief contacted Mr. Dobson, who works as a peace officer, he immediately knew that his son, Lincoln, would be the perfect person for the job. Without hesitation, Lincoln agreed to assist and jumped at the opportunity to make a difference.

This act of kindness displayed by the young boy highlights a positive movement initiated by Groesbeck Police Chief Chris Henson to establish meaningful connections with children in the community and serve as a role model. Chief Henson always takes the time to interact with children and bestows them with small stickers as a gesture of encouragement, urging them to do good deeds for others.

Lincoln wholeheartedly embraced this philosophy, and his desire to help those in need has become a defining characteristic. Assisting the elderly woman by squeezing through a doggy door to unlock her home was just one example of his selflessness.

Because of his small stature, Lincoln was the perfect candidate for the task at hand. When they arrived at the woman’s home, an officer bestowed a badge upon him, marking his official role as a junior officer. Undeterred by the challenge, Lincoln bravely maneuvered his way through the doggy door, petting the friendly dog on the nose before springing into action.

Although the physical feat proved to be a bit challenging, Lincoln overcame the obstacles and successfully unlocked the door, granting the grateful woman access to her belongings. She expressed her gratitude, offering Lincoln a drink, which he politely declined, opting for a glass of water instead.

For Lincoln, the sense of fulfillment he experienced from assisting his neighbor was indescribable. This heartfelt act of kindness has only further fueled his aspirations to become a police officer in the future.

When asked about his motivation to join the police force, Lincoln simply stated, “So I can help more people.” Inspired by his parents’ teachings, he aims to hold onto his servant’s heart, striving to spread kindness and goodness to everyone he encounters.
