Sokoto Government Receives Saudi Award Of Excellence For 2024 Hajj

The Sokoto State Government has been honored with a Saudi Award of Excellence for the successful execution of Hajj operations. This remarkable achievement was a result of the state government’s meticulous planning and implementation strategies, ensuring the well-being of its pilgrims during the recently concluded 2024 Hajj exercise.

Aliyu Musa, the Chairman of Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, presented the prestigious award to Governor Ahmed Aliyu at the Government House Sokoto on Monday, as a testament to the state government’s exceptional efforts.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Aliyu expressed his gratitude to the officials of the PWA for their unwavering dedication and hard work, which led to the countless successes in the previous Hajj exercise. He commended the agency’s remarkable arrangements in ensuring the welfare of the pilgrims, specifically highlighting the excellence in feeding and accommodation provided to them.

Governor Aliyu assured the agency of his administration’s continued support, emphasizing the importance of their collaborative efforts to achieve even greater success in future Hajj exercises.

Furthermore, Musa commended Governor Aliyu for his outstanding support and assistance, attributing the agency’s achievements in the previous Hajj exercise to the governor’s unwavering backing.

He expressed his commitment, on behalf of the PWA, to continue providing their best services in fulfilling their arduous duties and called for continuous support from the state government towards achieving a smooth and problem-free Hajj exercise.

Alhaji Aliyu also extended his gratitude to the board members and management staff of the agency for their exceptional dedication and commitment to their work, urging them to maintain the same level of excellence in the future.
