In 2022, Madelyn and Nic Anderle had a fateful encounter that instantly made them believe they had found their soulmates.
From the moment they met, they both felt an indescribable connection. Madelyn, a 25-year-old woman, expressed, “When you know, you know. I kind of had this feeling that he might be my husband, and he was the same way about me being his future wife,” as she shared the story with The Epoch Times.
Fast forward two years to May 26, 2024, when Madelyn and Nic exchanged vows and got married at Omni PGA Frisco in Dallas.
The couple even shared a five-minute montage at their wedding, recounting their journey and highlighting how divine intervention played a role in bringing them together.
Describing their first meeting, Madelyn reminisced, “He was with his friends; I was with my friends. We had never met before, but we ended up sitting in the same section, and he’s in the back of my photos.”
Nic, a 26-year-old originally from Cleveland, Ohio, managed to find Madelyn through a mutual friend and decided to reach out to her via direct message on Instagram.
Initially skeptical about connecting with a stranger online, Madelyn, who was on a family beach vacation at the time, eventually responded to Nic’s message.
As fate would have it, shortly after their initial conversation, Madelyn expressed her need for financial assistance on her profile. Nic, who possessed a background in investment banking, offered to help her and scheduled a video call.
Madelyn recalled, “We FaceTimed for several hours. We just lost track of time and were up until three in the morning, talking about so much.” The couple’s connection strengthened, and Nic, who resided in Charlotte, eagerly planned a visit to Dallas.
Despite the distance, Madelyn was immediately captivated when they finally met face-to-face.
She said, “There were so many characteristics in him that I loved. He’s very hard-working, very disciplined. We both have a passion for health and wellness, and so we really bonded over that. Our faith and beliefs were also significant factors that brought us closer together.”
Madelyn was convinced that Nic was the one, ensuring to capture their first meeting on camera to cherish the moment forever.
Her intuition proved correct.
Their first weekend together solidified their deep connection, and within a month, they made their relationship official.
Given the long-distance circumstances, Madelyn made it a habit to document their moments using videos.
She explained, “I really wanted to keep those memories to look back on when we’re older. It’s just like when my parents used to record my siblings and me with a camcorder.”
Maintaining a long-distance relationship proved challenging due to work commitments, resulting in occasions where they wouldn’t see each other for up to six weeks. However, Madelyn emphasized the importance of communication in building trust during those times. The couple even found innovative ways to have virtual dates, regularly enjoying dinner and watching movies together.
The videos Madelyn recorded also served as cherished memories for them to reminisce on.
A year into their relationship, they became engaged, and after another year, they happily tied the knot.
Reminiscing about their Memorial Day weekend wedding, Madelyn expressed how emotional it was for both her and Nic to watch the video journal of their relationship.
Witnessing Nic’s heartfelt tears, Madelyn felt overwhelmed by the surreal experience.
She said, “We couldn’t believe that we were two people who took a leap of faith. He flew to meet me, and we just wanted to see what would happen. And now, here we are, happily married.”
Currently enjoying their marital bliss, Madelyn likens the background appearance of Nic in the conference pictures to the theory of invisible strings.
She amusingly remarked, “It’s like you’ve been there the whole time, but I had no idea. We fully believe God gave us that as a sign that we were on the right track. We were just 5 feet away from each other, and we had never even met.”
Madelyn encourages other young women to stay patient and wait for their destined soulmates.
She imparted, “When your person does come along, it’s going to add something to your life rather than subtract. When you know, you know; it’s a real thing.”
