Iheanacho Scheduled For Medical Examination With Sevilla This Week.

Nigerian international and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has reached an agreement to join Sevilla after opting not to extend his contract with Leicester.

Florian Plettenberg, a transfer market expert from Germany, has revealed that Iheanacho is on the brink of completing a move to Sevilla.

After securing the signing of Chidera Ejuke on a free transfer earlier in the summer, Sevilla is now on the verge of adding another Nigerian international forward to their squad as they look to strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.

Sevilla and Iheanacho have reportedly agreed to terms, and a medical examination is scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday, paving the way for his potential unveiling.

Sevilla will face the absence of Youssef En-Nesyri in the next term as the Moroccan forward has left the club for Fenerbahçe, creating a void in García Pimienta’s side.

It seems that Iheanacho, who became a free agent after failing to extend his Leicester City contract, will now fill the void left by En-Nesyri as he embarks on a new adventure in Spain.

The winner of the Golden Ball at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup has been linked with various clubs, including newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town and Aston Villa. However, he has opted for a fresh start by moving to Spain.

Iheanacho has spent his entire career in England, initially at Manchester City before joining Leicester City in 2017, where he spent the past seven years.

If the expected deal goes through, Iheanacho will join Ejuke, Arsenal loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga, Peque Fernández, and Sal Guez as Sevilla’s new signings.
