Stephen Curry, the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader and Olympic gold medalist, has reached an agreement with the Golden State Warriors to extend his contract until the 2026-27 season. As part of the deal, Curry will receive a staggering sum of nearly $63 million.

Jeff Austin, Curry’s agent at Octagon, confirmed the exciting news to The Associated Press on Thursday. ESPN was the first to report the contract extension between Curry and the Warriors.

With this extension, Curry’s total guaranteed earnings for the next three seasons amount to approximately $178 million. This includes around $55.8 million for the current season, roughly $59.6 million for the 2025-26 season, and now an impressive $62.6 million, which is the maximum amount the Warriors can offer under league regulations, for the 2026-27 season.

By the end of the 2026-27 season, Curry’s on-court earnings will have reached a staggering total of around $532 million. This remarkable feat places him second on the list of players with the highest career earnings in NBA history, just behind LeBron James, who has accumulated $580 million in player contracts.

At 36 years old, Curry is entering his 16th NBA season, all of which have been played with the Golden State Warriors. Throughout his illustrious career, he has been selected as an All-Star ten times and has earned All-NBA honors on ten occasions. Curry has been a pivotal part of four championship-winning teams with the Warriors and has been awarded the coveted title of Most Valuable Player twice. Moreover, he showcased his exceptional skills on the international stage by contributing to the U.S. team’s gold medal victory at the Paris Games, particularly with his outstanding performance in the fourth quarter, aiding the triumph over France in the final.

Last season, Curry recorded an impressive average of 26.4 points per game for the Warriors. Throughout his regular-season career, he has maintained an excellent average of 24.8 points per game.
