Charly Boy Offers Advice To Nigerian Youths Amidst #Endbadgovernance Protests.

Renowned singer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has urged Nigerian youths to intensify their efforts in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests sweeping across the nation. Speaking in response to President Bola Tinubu’s address to the nation on Sunday, August 4, 2024, Charly Boy emphasized the importance of fighting for good governance and called on the youth to be more determined in their protests.

In his broadcast, President Tinubu had called for a suspension of further protests, urging the organizers to engage in dialogue. However, Charly Boy, in his response, stressed that the fight for good governance is of utmost importance, as it is a fight for a better future for all Nigerians.

Charly Boy also expressed his concern over the current state of leadership in Nigeria, describing those in power as dishonest, corrupt, and indifferent to the well-being of the Nigerian people. He emphasized the need for unity and collaboration in reshaping the destiny of the nation, regardless of age, political affiliation, tribe, or religion.

Despite President Tinubu’s appeal, the ongoing protests against the high cost of living have continued with a lower turnout on Tuesday after demonstrators faced alleged suppression by security operatives the previous day. The protest, which began last week, is expected to last for at least ten days, with protesters demanding immediate action to address issues such as the cost of fuel and essential commodities.

Charly Boy urged the Nigerian youth to remain resilient and resolute in their pursuit of change and emphasized the importance of their collective voice in defeating the entrenched system of corruption and mismanagement within the country. He encouraged the youth to amplify their message and take their protests to the maximum level, asserting that only through their united efforts can they overcome the challenges posed by the current state of governance in Nigeria.
