In this time of immense grief, the surviving band members were comforted and embraced at their hotel by other artists, including Bill and Gloria Gaither, who joined together in prayer and song, offering unwavering support during this difficult period, as stated by The Nelons’ management.

Autumn and Jamie will temporarily return home to seek solace with Kelly’s brother, Todd Nelon, and his wife, Rhonda. They will face the challenging tasks that lie ahead, and we urge you to keep them, along with the Kistler family, the Haynie family, and the family of Melodi Hodges, in your thoughts and prayers.

Additionally, one of the grieving band members, Melodi Hodges, expressed her gratitude for the prayers extended to her, her husband Jamie, and their soon-to-be-born baby boy. She also conveyed appreciation on behalf of Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark, for the continued prayers, love, and support they have received.

The Nelons have made a significant impact in the world of gospel music, culminating in their induction into the prestigious Gospel Music Association (GMA) Hall of Fame in 2016. Throughout their career, they have received numerous accolades and award nominations, including a Grammy nomination for Best Southern Gospel Album for their acclaimed 1989 release, Let The Redeemed Say So.
