Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation And The Oil Producers Trade Section (Opts) Have Successfully Concluded A Comprehensive Leadership Training Program For Directors In The Civil Service.

The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, in partnership with the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), has successfully concluded a comprehensive four-week training program on leadership and project management. The program catered to 61 Directors from various ministries in Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service.

A statement from the foundation highlighted that the training took place at the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) and aimed to enhance the participants’ leadership skills and project management capabilities. The Directors were selected from 10 different ministries to benefit from this program.

Mrs. Bosede Opeyemi Olaniyi, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics at the Federal Ministry of Power, expressed her gratitude for being chosen as part of the inaugural cohort for this training program. Initially concerned about potential conflicts with work commitments, she quickly realized the immense value of the comprehensive training outline. The project management module, in particular, provided valuable insights. Mrs. Olaniyi also emphasized the invaluable networking opportunities that arose from connecting with other Directors from various federal MDAs.

Chioma Njoku, the Director of Programmes at the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, commended the participants for their commitment and dedication throughout the training. Njoku explained that by investing in the leadership development of these civil servants, they are empowering them to drive transformation in the public sector. This training is a crucial step towards the shared goal of enhancing the well-being of Nigerians.
