Buca di Beppo, a well-known Italian dining brand that offers family-style meals, has announced its decision to voluntarily file for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The company filed for bankruptcy on August 5th in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
As part of its strategy to restructure, Buca di Beppo will be focusing on its 44 core locations and plans to open one new location. The company emphasizes that all its restaurants will continue to operate as usual and assures its customers that gift cards, reservations, and promotional services will remain active and usable during this period.
“This strategic step towards a strong future for Buca di Beppo reflects our commitment to overcome the challenges faced by the restaurant industry,” said Richard Saultz, the president of the company. “By restructuring and with the continued support of our lenders, we are paving the way for a reinvigorated future.”
William Snyder, the chief restructuring officer of Buca C, LLC, expressed confidence in the restructuring process. “We believe that this path will allow us to continue serving our patrons and communities for many years to come,” Snyder said. “Our business remains open for operations at our 44 locations, and we expect smooth day-to-day operations. Our goal is to move through this process swiftly and efficiently in order to emerge as a stronger organization ready for future growth.”
Buca di Beppo is grateful for the ongoing support from its customers, employees, and vendors. The company aims to emerge from the bankruptcy process more resilient and well-positioned for future growth. Buca di Beppo, which was founded in Minneapolis in 1993 and is currently headquartered in Orlando, Florida, is known for its unique decor, generous portions, and lively atmosphere. The company proudly highlights its humble beginnings in a Minneapolis basement, where it was originally called “Joe’s small place” in Italian.
