The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (Aedc) Has Announced The Appointment Of An Acting Ceo And Coo.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has made changes to its leadership team with the appointment of Chijioke Okwuokenye as the acting Chief Executive Officer and Olumide Jerome as the Chief Operating Officer.

AEDC’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Adefisayo Akinsanya, stated that these appointments are part of the company’s ongoing transformation agenda. Okwuokenye will be tasked with repositioning AEDC as the leading customer-oriented electricity distribution company in Nigeria’s power sector.

Prior to this role, Okwuokenye served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw strategic support units and embedded generation projects. His extensive experience and expertise in the power sector, along with his passion for advancing the Nigerian electricity supply industry, make him well-suited for his new position.

Jerome, one of the company’s Chief Business Officers, will be responsible for driving efficiency and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Stanley Lawson, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Okwuokenye’s leadership abilities, stating that he has been instrumental in the company’s transformation agenda and is the right person to lead its corporate turnaround. Lawson also believes that Okwuokenye’s technical and commercial background will continue to generate value for all AEDC stakeholders.
