Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Adanma Luke, has issued a public apology to Nigerians once again, amidst the continued criticism surrounding the death of Junior Pope.
On Monday, Adanma took to her Instagram page and tearfully accepted responsibility for the tragic death of Junior Pope and others, pleading with Nigerians for forgiveness.
“I want to say I’m sorry. I deeply apologize to Nigerians. I know I have taken away your loved ones, as people are saying. I am devastated that this happened on my movie set. Though I am trying to remain strong, I can’t deny that I am shattered.”

“I am devastated that the incident occurred while they were working for me. But I am not God. It was destined to happen. A lot of people have been criticizing me.”
She continued, “Nigerians, I am not okay anymore. I don’t know what is happening to me. I did not plan for what happened to Junior Pope and the crew members. Please forgive me,” she cried.
New Telegraph reports that Junior Pope and four crew members tragically passed away on April 10, 2024, after their boat capsized in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta State, while en route to the movie location.
