Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan, has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the women’s 100m hurdles at the highly anticipated 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Amusan, who currently holds the world record in this event, won her heat with an impressive time of 12.49 seconds.
In second place was Alaysha Johnson, who finished with a time of 12.61 seconds, followed by Janeek Brown in a close third with a time of 12.84 seconds.

Amusan is considered one of the top contenders for a gold medal in this event. Her remarkable performance in the women’s 100m hurdles three years ago in Tokyo, where she finished fourth, positions her as a strong competitor.
The highly anticipated semi-final will take place at the prestigious Stade de France on Thursday, August 8.
