“Rescheduling Of Fec Meeting By Tinubu Amidst #Endbadgovernance Movement; Focuses Attention On Security Meeting”

As the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests entered their fifth day, President Bola Tinubu postponed the Federal Executive Committee (FEC) meeting on Monday to chair the Security Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the meeting, the President was briefed by the Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, among others, on the security situation in the country.

The meeting, which commenced at 2:00 pm, was attended by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the National Security Adviser to the President, all Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, the Comptroller Generals of Customs and Immigration, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President.

Earlier, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was scheduled to be held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was abruptly cancelled.

The crucial meeting was supposed to take place in the Council Chamber following President Bola Tinubu’s national broadcast on Sunday, wherein he attempted to address the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.

No reason was given for the cancellation of the FEC meeting.
