The General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, William Kumuyi, has called on Nigerian youths to engage in dialogue with the Federal Government in order to bring about positive socio-economic change in the country.
Speaking at the Port Harcourt Airport in Rivers State on Wednesday, Kumuyi emphasized that pointing fingers and assigning blame will not solve the nation’s problems, but rather, it is through positive change that healing and progress can be achieved.
Kumuyi was in the state to participate in a six-day program organized by the Change Makers International Initiative (CMII).
As the Convener of CMII, Kumuyi described the program as a non-religious, non-partisan, non-denominational movement driven by a passion to bring about positive change and create a social impact in Nigeria.

The program, titled “Driving positive change and social impact,” is aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians from all backgrounds and effecting desired social and spiritual transformation.
The well-documented social, economic, and moral problems facing Nigeria have a profound impact on all aspects of the country, and addressing these issues requires the collective effort of all individuals, families, and institutions.
Kumuyi emphasized that finding solutions should not involve blaming others for past failures but rather focus on creating a fresh understanding and a renewed commitment to serve the people.
He further added that achieving positive change requires collaboration and strategic dialogue among the youth, government, and all stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect, love, and honor to create a better country.
Individuals must be willing to change their attitudes and mindsets to foster personal growth, improve relationships, and ultimately, contribute to national and global change.
Kumuyi concluded by stating that even the smallest actions can make a significant impact when combined, comparing it to the ripple effect where each individual’s light contributes to illuminating a brighter future for Nigeria.
