The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has strongly condemned the recent attack carried out by bandits on a hospital in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. The attackers kidnapped several patients and two nurses from the Primary Healthcare Centre located in Layin Dan Auta village, Kuyello Ward, Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Speaker Abbas has called on the security agencies to take immediate action in rescuing the kidnapped individuals from the hospital, as well as all others who are currently held captive across the country.
The Speaker expressed deep concern over the audacity displayed by bandits and kidnappers in their criminal activities. The increasing frequency of these incidents, particularly the recent attack on a healthcare facility, is extremely alarming.
Speaker Abbas emphasized the urgency in intensifying efforts to rescue all kidnapped Nigerians and eradicate the menace of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism from every corner of the country. He urged the security forces to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety and freedom of all citizens.
In light of the incident, Speaker Abbas also called for sustained action against the prevailing wave of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism that severely threaten the peace and security of Nigeria.
