First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited has recently announced the addition of two esteemed individuals to its board of directors.
The newly appointed non-executive directors, Mr. Ademola Adebise and Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu, bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the bank. Their appointments have been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, further affirming their credibility and competence.
Mr. Adebise, a highly regarded figure in the Nigerian financial industry, has served Wema Bank Plc as the Managing Director. With over three decades of experience, he brings a deep understanding of the banking sector to FCMB.
In addition to his previous role, Mr. Adebise has held key positions in renowned Nigerian banks and non-banking financial institutions such as the legacy Chartered Bank, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc, and Accenture. He also serves on the boards of AIICO Insurance, AIICO Capital, and Duchess International Hospital.
Mr. Adebise’s educational background includes a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers. To further enhance his expertise, he has completed executive programs at prestigious institutions including the University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School.
Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu, the second addition to FCMB’s board, is a distinguished lawyer with extensive experience in both legal practice and banking. Her profound knowledge in these fields will undoubtedly contribute to the bank’s strategic decision-making processes.
As non-executive directors, both Mr. Adebise and Mrs. Adedibu will play crucial roles in FCMB’s ongoing growth and development initiatives.
