Delta Air Lines has taken a significant step towards providing reliable and high-quality Wi-Fi connectivity on its global fleet. The airline has started offering fast and free Wi-Fi, in collaboration with T-Mobile, on select long-haul international routes. The aim is to have most transatlantic flights equipped with free Wi-Fi by the end of the summer.
Passengers on specific long-haul international flights equipped with Viasat can now enjoy the benefits of fast and free Wi-Fi provided by T-Mobile. Delta Air Lines is working towards its goal of offering free Wi-Fi on all its aircraft to enhance the overall travel experience.
Currently, Delta offers free streaming-quality Wi-Fi on almost 700 aircraft, which accounts for over 90% of its domestic mainline fleet. The airline expects the majority of its customers to have access to free Wi-Fi by the end of this year.
Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design, expressed the airline’s commitment and excitement about the widespread rollout of free Wi-Fi. Delta aims to transform the travel experience by offering in-flight connectivity for customers traveling both domestically and internationally. The scale at which Delta is bringing free Wi-Fi to its customers sets it apart in the airline industry.
