Globacom, a leading digital solutions provider, has expressed its willingness to collaborate with higher education institutions in Oyo State to enhance productivity and operational efficiency in schools.
The announcement was made during a business meeting held at the State Ministry of Education, chaired by Prof. Waheed Adelabu, the State Commissioner for Education. The meeting was attended by Vice-Chancellors and Rectors from all state-owned higher institutions in Oyo State.
Globacom’s Head of Enterprise Sales, West Region, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, emphasized the significance of Internet of Things (IoT) in establishing a stronger educational system nationwide.
The company’s solutions aim to provide sufficient internet bandwidth in all tertiary institutions in the state, enabling seamless knowledge acquisition and administration. One of their offerings, Glo Smart Learning, facilitates easy operations through features like e-attendance and e-administration, simplifying student enrollment, school administration, and knowledge transfer.
Furthermore, these educational solutions will integrate IoT technology into schools, offering user-friendly interfaces, personalized learning paths, interactive content, comprehensive reporting, and advanced data analytics capabilities.
In his welcome address, the Commissioner expressed gratitude towards Globacom for their commitment to supporting the ministry’s efforts in improving education within the state.
