Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 housemate, Handi, has disclosed that her twin sister, Wanni, had a crush on popular Nigerian singer, Davido. However, Handi did not support their relationship.
In a conversation with fellow housemate, Shaun, and her sister, Wanni, on Wednesday, Handi explained that she discouraged Wanni from dating Davido because she believed that Wanni wouldn’t be respected in the relationship.
Although Wanni brought up the topic of her situation with the singer, she did not mention Davido’s name directly. Instead, she referenced a popular line from Davido’s hit song, “Champion Sound.”
Wanni said, “Let’s not call names, but I told him (Shaun) about the situation with (sings the line from Champion Sound) ‘Take me away.’ And he was like, he would have been disappointed if I did something with him.”
Handi expressed her agreement, stating that she also had the same opinion. Shaun added that he didn’t think differently.
Handi further explained the reasons behind her disapproval of the relationship. She mentioned that they had fought seriously during their tour and that jumping into a relationship just because of a crush wouldn’t lead to respect. She also described Davido as “bipolar as f*ck.”
